Tim Christophersen coordinates the work on forests and climate change at UN Environment (UNEP), including the UN-REDD Programme, a collaborative initiative of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and UNEP to reduce deforestation and forest degradation in 64 developing countries. He previously worked for the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Danish Ministry of the Environment, and the European Commission. Tim is a German national and holds a degree in forest engineering and conservation from Dresden University of Technology.
