The Youth in Landscapes Initiative unites young innovators (aged 18 – 35) to develop real-world solutions to land use challenges in partnership with organisations working on the ground.

Build your skills

Now more than ever, young professionals are getting opportunities to attend international conferences.

Youth can bring spark, enthusiasm and new ideas to these meetings.

But they often feel overwhelmed or lack confidence. They don’t ask questions in sessions. They’re too shy to network. They’re unsure how to participate effectively.

That’s why we’ve been pioneering ways to effectively engage over 500 young professionals.

In Paris, we ran a four day workshop where young people experienced what it’s like to be a landscapes professional – solving problems, facilitating decision making processes, listening and thinking critically.

In Peru, we ran a webinar series, masterclass and mentoring program to give young people the skills they need to make an impact on the global stage.

In Paris, we held a 4 day workshop, focused on developing teamwork skills that are essential for collaborative problem solving and pitching solutions at a professional level. Each participant brought a unique landscape approach from around the world. The workshop was designed to create friendships and solutions beyond Paris and 2015.
