Nathanial Matthews is Global Research Coordinator at the CGIAR Research Program on Water Land and Ecosystems (WLE) where he coordinates teams and partnerships across 40 projects in Africa and Asia. His background has been established from 15 years professional experience across business, policy, management, education and research that spans more than 30 countries. A political and environmental scientist by training, he has peer reviewed publications on a broad range of topics across water, energy and food and regularly gives senior level international talks. He holds a number of senior level positions outside of his current role including as: a Senior Visiting Fellow at King's College London, a Management Committee member of the Food Energy Environment Water Network (FE2W), a Visiting Fellow at the University of East Anglia Water Security Centre and a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society.
