Philippe Lévêque has been CARE France Executive Director since May 2000 and a member of the CARE International Board since 2008. Climate change is one of CARE France’s top priorities in terms of advocacy and program implementation with a special focus on adaptation and disaster risk reduction. He is also leading CARE International’s efforts to reduce the organisation’s greenhouse gas emissions. Following his graduation from HEC, Philippe Lévêque began his career with IBM. Following a year spent in Africa, he chose to work in the humanitarian and development sector. Joining Médecins du Monde initially as a volunteer, he became their Development Director and then Deputy Executive Director.
