Per Jonas Partapuoli is a Board Member of the International Centre for Reindeer Husbandry, which was established by the Norwegian Government in 2005 as a contribution to the unique international cooperation of circumpolar reindeer herding peoples. He has also been a board member of the Sami Youth Organization in Sweden, Sáminuorra, and between 2013 and 2015 he was the President of the organization. Mr. Partapuoli is a critical voice against extractive industries, e.g. mining, and an advocate for rights for the Indigenous People. He is a part-time student at Lund University combined with the reindeer husbandry. He and his family work with reindeer husbandry in Laevas Sami Village, a reindeer herding district within Kiruna municipality, Sweden.
