Manuel Pulgar-Vidal is Minister of Environment in Peru and a lawyer specializing in environmental law and policy. Before his appointment, Minister Pulgar-Vidal served as Executive Director of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law, President of the Inter-American Association for Environmental Defense, President of the Permanent Seminar on Agricultural Research, Director of the National Fund for Natural Areas Protected by the State, PROFONANPE, and Alliance Director of Tropical Andes. Minister Pulgar-Vidal teaches environmental law, natural resources management and mining as well as energy and environment, and is Programme Coordinator at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
