Minister Mahama Ayariga

Minister of Science, Environment, Technology and Innovation, Ghana

Mahama Ayariga is the Minister of Science, Environment, Technology and Innovation, Republic of Ghana. Mr. Ayariga started his career as a Teaching Assistant in Natural Resources Law and International Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Ghana. He also co-founded and was the Executive Director of the Legal Resources Centre, an organization to promote human rights, community development and social justice. He became the Presidential Spokesman for former President Prof. John Evans Atta Mills in 2009. Under his aegis, Ghana is committed to building resilience to climate change and reduce climate change impacts on the most vulnerable groups. A Lawyer by profession, he did his Law at the Harvard Law School in Cambridge, USA and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) Degree from University of Ghana, Legon.
