Minister Douglas Tomuriesa

Douglas Tomuriesa is the Minister for Forests of Papua New Guinea. In October 2015, he hosted the Third APEC Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Forestry (MMRF3) in Port Moresby. Minister Tomuriesa has been the Executive Chairman of the Border Development Authority, a government agency set up to improve economic and social conditions in remote areas of PNG’s provinces which are adjacent to the country’s borders. Prior to this, he was a civil engineer and holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Lae University of Technology, Morobe.
