Michael Hailu is Director, CTA – Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation ACP-EU, a joint ACP-EU institution working to advance food and nutritional security, increase prosperity and encourage sound natural resources management in Africa, Caribbean and Pacific countries. He is responsible for providing strategic direction, building partnerships, and ensuring effective managementof staff and resources to achieve results that benefit CTA’s beneficiaries–smallholder farmers in the ACP. Previously, he worked in several position at the World Agroforestry Centre, most recently as Director of Communications, Capacity Building & ICT. Mr. Hailu also worked as Program Officer at the International Development Research Center in Kenya. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Addis Ababa and a Master’s in Information Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh.
