Merling Preza Ramos

Merling Preza Ramos is the General Manager of the coffee cooperative Prodecoop. Prodecoop consists of 39 member associations, with a total of 2300 small coffee producers, who are living in the three Northern departments of Nicaragua. Ms. Preza is a small-scale coffee producer and business administrator with a specialization in export markets. Sinds 1989 she has been working with coffee cooperatives in the North of Nicaragua, with a focus on institutional capacity building, access to credit, technical assistance and marketing of specialty coffee. Over the years, she has held many coordinating positions in national and international coffee initiatives, she is the like CLAC, Cooperativa Sin Fronteras, Fair Trade Foundation UK, OCIA International USA, Fair Trade USA.
