Maria Kiwanuka

Maria Kiwanuka is the Special Presidential Adviser, Finance, in Uganda. She served as Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development for the Republic of Uganda from 2011 to 2015. Previously, she was a Director at Stanbic Bank Uganda Ltd (2008-2011), Governor of Islamic Development Bank, Governor at African Development Bank, Governor of international Monetary Fund. Maria Kiwanuka has also served as Director of Uganda Development Bank, Uganda Registration Service Bureau (Chairlady), Uganda Communications Commission, Makerere University Business School and Nkumba University. She holds an MBA from the University of London and B.Com from Makerere University.
