Ina Porras

Senior Economist, International Institute for Environment and Development

Ina Porras is a senior economist, working at the International Institute for Environment and Development. She has long-term experience in practical design and assessment of market-based mechanisms for forests, soil and water conservation; economic valuation of environmental services; value-chain analysis for agro-business and impact assessments with a strong focus on legitimacy, equity and inclusivity. She has been teaching valuation of ecosystem services at the University of Edinburgh for several years. Ms. Porras has been a board member of the Plan Vivo Foundation and she is the present chairperson, advising on smallholder and community carbon projects.
