Iain Henderson

Lead, REDD+ and Sustainable Land Use, UNEP Finance Initiative

Iain Henderson leads the work of UNEP’s Financial Initiative on REDD+ and Sustainable Land Use. Prior to this, he was based in Hong Kong with WWF, working on sustainable finance. He spent over a decade in investment banking in the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities divisions of UBS and Deutsche Bank in a variety of roles ranging from sales to structuring and risk management. Mr. Henderson is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Forests. He has an Undergraduate degree in Geography from Oxford University; and completed postgraduate studies in Management, Economics and Politics at St Andrews University, and in Agricultural Economics at The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
