Eric Nicolas is Chief Financial Officer, Corporate VP Strategy & Global Services at Firmenich. Prior to joining the company, he served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller and Group Strategy of the Renault Group in Paris, France and was a key executive at global car manufacturer Renault Group for 19 years. As VP Corporate Finance and M&A for the Renault Group in France, he played a significant post-merger role in the Renault-Nissan Alliance, spending substantial time in Japan. In his role as VP, Corporate Planning and Business Development for Nissan in North America, he was instrumental in accomplishing the turn-around of the Nissan operation through the creation of a new export business unit from the U.S. manufacturing base. Prior to his career with Renault, Mr. Nicolas served as a Senior Economist with Société Générale. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from HEC Management School in France, a PhD in Economics and Organization Sciences from the Université de Paris Dauphine in France, and a Master’s in Econometrics from the Sorbonne University in France.
