Christopher Martius

Principal Scientist Climate Change, Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR)

Christopher Martius is Principal Scientist Climate Change at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), Bogor, Indonesia. He also teaches agroecology and landscape management at the University of Bonn, Germany and sits on the Advisory Board for DesertNet International. Mr. Martius has a background in ecology and has managed various interdisciplinary research projects and programs on climate change, land use, and biodiversity. He also co-authored about 130 articles on tropical ecology in rainforests and drylands, on nutrient cycling, soil ecology, biodiversity and climate change.
