Ruth Nussbaum is the Co-founder and Director of Proforest, a non-profit group working in sustainable resource management. She is a member of the board of the Climate and Land Use Alliance and of Unilever’s Sustainable Sourcing Advisory Board. Ms. Nussbaum has extensive experience of supporting companies in developing and implementing responsible production and sourcing programs, advising governments and NGOs on responsible natural resource management and facilitating international and national multi-stakeholder processes to develop principles, standards and safeguards. She has also managed a global forest certification program and written a range of guides and books.
