Paul McMahon is co-founder and Managing Partner at SLM Partners LLP in London. He is responsible for identifying and developing investment strategies, sourcing capital, managing investor relations, coordinating the investment process, and ensuring institutional-quality monitoring and reporting. He was Vice-President at Climate Change Capital Limited, where he led a team that developed a strategy for a global farmland fund. Before that, he served as Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company in New York and as technical advisor to the Indonesian government and UNDP on the establishment of investment funds for small and medium-sized enterprises in emerging markets. Mr. McMahon has worked as an advisor on sustainable agriculture and food security to FAO, The Prince’s Charities’ International Sustainability Unit and the Qatar National Food Security Programme. He is an Associate Fellow for Energy, Environment and Resources at Chatham House. He holds a BA in History and Philosophy from University College Dublin, an MPhil in International Relations and PhD in History from Cambridge University. He also holds an Investment Management Certificate from the CFA Society of the UK.
