Maximiliano Correa Menezes is leader of the Tukano Indigenous People from the Brazilian Amazon. He currently serves as the General Coordinator of the Coordination of Indigenous Organizations of the Brazilian Amazon (COIAB) and as Communication and Health Coordinator of Indigenous Organizations of the Amazon Cuenca (COICA). Mr. Correa Menezes studied Human Rights for Indigenous Peoples at the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain, and Policies for Indigenous Education at the Federal University of Amazonas, Brazil.
