Ingrid-Gabriela Hoven was appointed Director-General of the Department for Global issues – sector policies and programs of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in October 2014. She has worked for the BMZ since 1986 in different positions, most recently as Special Envoy for Climate and Development. From 2010 to 2014, Ms. Hoven served as Executive Director to the World Bank Group, representing Germany. Ms. Hoven is a member of the board of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) and serves as Co-chair to the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery.
