Aida Greenbury is Managing Director Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement of the Asia Pulp & Paper Group (APP). Since joining the company in 2004, Ms Greenbury has been the key player behind major sustainability achievements in APP’s supply chains, forest conservation programs and is the chief architect of both APP’s Sustainability Roadmap: Vision 2020, and APP’s Forest Conservation Policy. She has initiated a strict material traceability verification and risk evaluation policy along with the associated audit process. This policy required APP to restructure its supply chains and is implemented to ensure the sustainability of all fiber entering APP pulp mills. For many of APP’s stakeholders, Ms. Greenbury’s most important contribution has been to develop the company’s approach to transparency and disclosure. This has included working directly with Greenpeace since 2013 on the development of sustainability policies and separately inviting the Rainforest Alliance to undertake their first ever evaluation of a zero-deforestation policy and agreeing to their report being published in full (2015) for all observers to be able to review.
