Head of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Water Division, Environment Directorate, OECD
Simon Buckle is the Head of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Water Division of the Environment Directorate at the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Prior to joining the OECD in 2014, he worked at Imperial College London in various positions, e.g. as Climate Policy Director at the Grantham Institute. While at Imperial, Mr. Buckle also played a key role in the creation of the European Institute for Innovation and Technology’s Climate KIC and was a member of its Governing Board from 2011-14. Before joining Imperial, he served as a senior British diplomat and worked at the Bank of England. Mr. Buckle has a doctorate in Physics, an MSc in Financial Economics and a BSc (Joint Hons) in Physics and Philosophy.
