Watch this discussion Forum from the first day of the Global Landscapes Forum 2014, in Lima, Peru, during COP20. The expansion in the production of agricultural commodities is a key driver of up to 50% of deforestation in the tropics. The challenge is to ensure the increase in demand for commodities is met through means which offer sustainability and avoid further deforestation. This panel discusses the barriers currently preventing the uptake of sustainable commodities and how governments, the private sector, civil society and donors can best join forces to accelerate change.
