Do you think you have what it takes to be a youth delegate or a social reporter at the Peatlands Matter event in Jakarta? And, can you clear your schedule from May 16 – 18?
We’re looking for tomorrow’s journalists, scientists and policymakers who are passionate about peatlands, gathering the best and brightest from Indonesia and beyond to play key roles in all aspects of the Global Landscapes Forum: Peatlands Matter.
Youth delegates will spend the conference networking, listening in and participating in sessions as well as rapporteuring.
Social reporters will spend the conference live-tweeting and blogging.
Both will participate in two days of training prior to the event: one shared day of training on social and traditional media (May 16, 2017), followed by a day of specialized workshops for each group (May 17, 2017). The third day is the conference (May 18, 2017), where these skills will be put in to action.

To be considered as either a youth delegate or social reporter, applicants must be under 30 years of age and fluent in English. Transport will only be provided from Bogor and Jakarta on the days of the event, but youth from all over Indonesia (and the world) are welcome to apply. If peatlands matter to you, come to Jakarta and make your voice heard.
