My name is Malika Kassi, and I am from Morocco. I received a bachelor degree in Ouarzazate and then a master degree in Applied Foreign Languages in Marrakech at Cadi Ayyad University. During my studies, I worked as a cultural mediator for Marrakech Biennale Association 6th Edition.  Before being enrolled in the master program, I worked as a   project manager with High Atlas Foundation teaching the community people of High Atlas regions the methods of participatory approach to identify their needs. I worked on various development projects in rural Morocco. During my work with High Atlas Foundation, I worked and collaborate with both rural and urban schools to plant the trees and design gardens in their schools.

Currently, I joined REDBIRD MEDIA LIMITED Company in 2016 to identify the interested groups and NGOs, whose work is relevant to the issues raised in Casablanca Calling movie. Also, to host and screen the film which is a story of a new generation of women in Morocco who work hard to support the education of women and girls and encourage young people to build a better society.

I am very excited to participate in Youth in Landscapes Forum for the first time. I would love to improve my knowledge, skills and attitudes, and I am pretty sure that I will learn valuable things that will help me to be a real actor of change.

Malika Kassi is one of the 10 young professionals who will facilitate a session at the 2016 Global Landscapes Forum in Morocco. Learn more about this year’s Global Landscapes Forum’s  Youth activitiesmeet our 10 youth facilitators, and discover the Youth in Landscape Initiative!
