Researcher and Advocacy Advisor sustainable farming CEDECO

Francisco Fonseca leads new research to enhance Cam(Bio)2 methodology, which quantifies carbon mitigation from sustainable farming, to include adaptation, food security and agro-biodiversity. He also leads advocacy work to engage public and private sectors, willing to support landscape approaches addressing climate change. Mr. Fonseca has worked in the private sector and as researcher before, e.g. with CEDECO supporting entrepreneurial skills in organic farmers’ organizations, and as Executive Director. He graduated in Agricultural Sciences from Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica and holds a Master in Agribusiness Management from Pingtung University of Science and Technology in Taiwan.
