Ane Alencar is Director of the Amazon Scenarios Program at the Brazilian Instituto de Pesquisa Ambiental da Amazônia (IPAM). She holds a PhD in Forest Resources and Conservation from the University of Florida and focuses on the dynamics of deforestation in the Amazon as well as on participatory policy processes.
