Yadvinder Malhi

Yadvinder is Professor of Ecosystem Science at the Oxford University Centre for the Environment and Founding Director of the Oxford Centre for Tropical Forests. The OCTF is a civil society, business and academia collaboration to address the urgent issues and opportunities surrounding tropical forests, acting as a hub for landscape start-ups in the Oxford ecosystem. Yadvinder’s research research addresses fundamental questions about ecosystem function, diversity and dynamics, whilst at the same time providing outputs of direct relevance for conservation and adaptation to climate change. Yadvinder obtained his MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and his PhD from the University of Reading.
