Tan heads China Water Risk, the ‘go-to’ resource on water issues in China. She spearheaded the development of the brand and website in 2011 and has since written extensively about the water-energy-food nexus as well as groundbreaking reports for financial institutions to place water risk as a financial risk. These included HSBC’s “No Water” series and CLSA-U®’s “Water & Coal” & “Dirty Thirsty Fashion”. She has also delivered numerous keynotes and panels in water award seminars, investor & industry conferences plus academic forums. Tan started her career in finance as a chartered accountant and investment banker, from equity capital markets to M&A and strategic advisory.
