Ayman Cherkaoui is UNFCCC COP 22 Advisor to the Environment Minister of Morocco. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University with minors in Management and East Asian studies as well as an aeronautical concentration. He also holds a law degree from the University of Montréal. His passion for international affairs arose from the numerous trips he made younger thanks to his father, an airline pilot. Ayman’s interest for Sustainable Development arose from a research in 2002 done for a French preparatory school and was strengthened by a climate class course at McGill. He then developed his knowledge as the director of the Environment Pole of the student run Pearson Institute at McGill.
