He was a Research Professor from 1989 to 2007, specialized in Social Studies, Water Resource Management and Environmental Impact Assessment at the Research Center &#8220;Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n y de Estudios Avanzados, Unidad M\u00e9rida&#8221; in Yucat\u00e1n. Since 2007, he is in charge of the Ministry of Urban Development and Environment, responsible of overseeing and supervising the Environmental public policies of the State of Yucat\u00e1n.
