Since 2004, he has acted as environment director of the Brazilian Association of Independent Power Producers, through which he became founder and first coordinator (from 2005 to 2007) of the Brazilian Electric Sector Environment Forum. In April 2009, he was elected deputy councilman of the Brazilian National Water Resources Council.He\u00a0has also worked as independent environmental consultant and auditor for the Inter-American Development Bank and World Bank.
