Dyno Keatinge joined AVRDC as\u00a0Director General\u00a0in 2008. AVRDC actively builds networks and conducts research and promotion activities to raise the profile of vegetables for improved health and global poverty alleviation.\u00a0He is the Chair of the Global Horticulture Initiative, and since 2014 also of the Association of International Research and Development Centers for Agriculture (AIRCA), a global alliance formed in 2012 with mission of \u201cPutting Research into use by strengthening local capacity for sustainable improvements to incomes, food and nutrition security in healthy landscapes\u201d\u00a0He has global expertise in crop agronomy having worked at ICARDA in Syria, Pakistan and Turkey, IITA in Nigeria and Cameroon and ICRISAT in India and several countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
