Gustavo Garduno is Expert in Regional Analysis, Biological Corridors Initiative, National Commission for Knowledge and Use of Biodiversity, Mexico (CONABIO). After completing his studies he spent 5 years working in different projects related to water and agriculture in Mexico in the academia and NGOs. After finishing his PhD in 2010, under the supervision of Charles Perrings, he was appointed Expert in Regional Analysis of the Biological Corridors initiative where he carries out socioeconomic evaluations of agroenvironmental policies, analysis of agricultural policies and studies aimed at preserving agrobiodiversity in situ. Gustavo Garduno holds a PhD from the Arizona State University and a MSc degree from the University of York, UK, in Environmental Economics. He also has a BA with a major in Political Science and Economics from the Autonomous Institute of Technology of Mexico (ITAM for its Spanish acronym). He also is a Professor at ITAM where he teaches Environmental Policies to undergraduate students.
