Sarwono Kusumaatmadja

Chairman, Advisory Council for Climate Change, Indonesia

Sarwono Kusumaatmadja is the Chairman of the Advisory Council for Climate Change, Republic of Indonesia. He is a former Minister of Environment (1993-1998), Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (1999-2001), and Minister of State for Administrative (1988-1993). Previously, he has served as a Special Advisor to the Vice President of the Republic Indonesia. In addition to work in the public sector Mr. Kusumaatmadja has extensive private sector experience, including Vice President Commissioner of PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk and President Commissioner of PT Energy Management Indonesia (Persero) from 2009 to 2012. In 2013, he was chosen as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Leuser International Foundation. He has been a member of the Supervisory Board at the State Forestry Public Company (Perum Perhutani) since 2012, and in the same year Mr. Kusumaatmadja was appointed as an Independent Commissioner of PT Arpeni Pratama Ocean Line Tbk. From 2005 to 2009, he was the Chairman of the Ad-Hoc Committee II Regional Representative Council of Natural Resources and Economic Resources. Mr. Kusumaatmadja was the Member of the Board of the Regional Representative of the Republic of Indonesia from 2004 to 2009. Since 2004, he has been the member of the Board of Marine Indonesia.
