William Laguado Cervantes is the Director Ecosystems and Global Change Research Center (Carbon & Forests). He has 10 years of experience in developing forest carbon projects intended to mitigate the effects of climate change, as a result of it, he has coordinated three registration Colombian forestry projects to the Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism of the United Nations and initiatives for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation – REDD+ under the Voluntary Carbon Standard. He has published various articles in international and Columbian scientific journals. Mr. Laguado holds a degree in Forest Engineering from the National University of Colombia, with a M.Sc in Geomatics of the same university.
