Director Global Advocacy, Unilever
Thomas Lingard is Director, Global Advocacy at Unilever, and has worked in a variety of sustainability and corporate responsibility roles in the company. Previously he was Deputy Director of the environmental policy think tank Green Alliance. Mr. Lingard has served on a range of advisory boards including Oxfam, The Partnering Initiative and the STEPS Centre (Social, Technological & Environmental Pathways to Sustainability) at the Institute of Development Studies. He represents Unilever at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Governance for Sustainability. He read Philosophy and Modern Languages at Durham University and holds an Advanced Diploma in Sustainability and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Cross-Sector Partnerships for Sustainable Development from Cambridge University and a Masters in Development Management from the Open University.
