Visiting Researcher, Wageningen University
Rosa María Román-Cuesta is a visiting researcher atthe centre forGeo-information Science and Remote Sensing at Wageningen University, and an associate researcher at CREAF (Barcelona, Spain). Her current research focuses on identifying hotspots of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) for the terrestrial sector at a pantropical scale, as a way to provide information for mitigation initiatives and to further discuss GHG data needs and caveats. She has been working on tropical ecology and fire disturbances for the last 15 years, and counts on REDD+ design and implementation experience from her work with the FAO UN-REDD team.
