UNFCCC Negotiator, Denmark
Peter Aarup Iversen works for the Danish Energy Agency and has represented Denmark in the UNFCCC process since 2003, specialized in land use including agriculture and REDD+. He co-chaired the negotiations on land use and land-use change and forestry (LULUCF) under the Kyoto Protocol from COP16 to COP18 and for agriculture at 40th session of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA40) this year. He has previously represented Denmark in various other international forest policy negotiations including United Nations Forum on Forests (UNFF) and Europe and North Asia Forest Law Enforcement and Governance (ENA-FLEG) and worked as Technical Specialist for the UN-REDD Programme in Cambodia. He co-authored the publication on Understanding Land Use in the UNFCCC.
