CEO of Green Initiatives for a Smart Tomorrow (GIST) and UNEP Goodwill Ambassador
Pavan Sukhdev is the CEO of the company Green Initiatives for a Smart Tomorrow (GIST) that advises governments, corporations, financial institutions and civil service organizations on sustainability.
He was special Adviser and Head of UNEP’s Green Economy Initiative and lead author of their Green Economy Report. Pavan Sukhdev was a career banker, before taking a sabbatical from Deutsche Bank to lead The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB) and the Green Economy Initiative for UNEP.
As an advocate for a green economy, Pavan Sukhdev held a TEDtalk with the title Put a value on nature. He is author of the book Corporation 2020, Transforming Business for Tomorrows world.
