Martin Herold is Professor for Geo-information Science and Remote Sensing at Wageningen University, a senior associate with the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and co-chair of the GOFC-GOLD land cover team. His research focuses on large area land and forest monitoring and assessments; including approaches to REDD+ monitoring and MRV and analysis of LULUCF related emissions.
