President, Native Federation of the Madre de Dios River and tributaries
Klaus Quicque is the President of the Native Federation of the Madre de Dios River and tributaries (FENAMAD). He studied Education at Amazonian National University of Madre de Dios and then worked as a Mathematics and Computer Science teacher for two years and in 2009, he returned to his native community to support and strengthen it organizationally. In 2010, he was elected as Vice President of FENAMAD and assumed its presidency in 2013. In this role he focuses his efforts on solving indigenous rights and territorial issues.
