Policy Director Forest and Climate Program, World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)
Josefina Braña is the REDD+ Policy Director in WWF’s Global Forest and Climate Program. She brings to her role more than 10 years of experience working on environmental policy issues. Her work spans across academia, government institutions and non-governmental organizations. She has strong experience in international negotiations under the UN system. From 2009 to 2012, Ms. Braña was part of Mexico’s delegation to the CBD, the UNFF, and the UNFCCC where she negotiated REDD+ and land-use related issues. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy – with a special focus on Environmental Policy – from the University of Maryland, and studied International Relations in Mexico City.
