Representative, Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) in Peru
Hernando Riveros Serrato is the Representative of IICA in Peru and the Regional Coordinator of the Energy and Environment Partnership with the Andean Region (EEP) and Sustainable Forest Management in the Andean Region (SFM) Programmes.He has wide experience in the promotion, formulation and management of agroindustrial projects and rural micro-, small- and medium-scale enterprises, and in the areas of policy formulation, promotion of agroindustry, agribusiness, production chains, and creation of associations in 12 countries in Latin America. Mr. Riveros is a founding member and former president of the Colombian Association of Food Technology and Science. He has authored more than 60 publications in his areas of expertise. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de América (Colombia) with specialisation in Formulation and Economic Evaluation of Investment Projects and in Food Technologies.
