Minister of Environment, Paraguay
María Cristina Morales Palarea is the Minister of Environment of Paraguay. She is a specialist in biodiversity conservation and biostatistics. Ms. Morales has extensive work experience in the non-governmental and public sectors. She has served in various positions with NGOs like Guyra Paraguay and Prodechaco; and as Coordinator of the national strategy SINAVISI, Director of forests, Head of the department of vertebrates, Curator of the department of ornithology, and Resource Specialist. Ms. Morales holds a Bachelor in Biology from the University of Asunción and a Masters’ degree in Management of forest and maritime wildlife from the University de los Llanos in Venezuela.
