Minister of Agriculture of Peru
Juan Manuel Benites Ramos is Minister of Agriculture in Peru and an economist specialising in public investment and rural development. Former positions include Vice-Minister for Development, Agriculture and Irrigation, Executive Director of AGRORURAL the ministry’s Development Program of Agricultural Products in Rural Areas, Director of the Corporate Research Center of the Chamber of Commerce of Lima, and co-founder of the Institute of Economics and Management. The minister has taught investment and social spending at Pontefical Catholic University of Peru, the National Engineering University and the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia.
