President, Inspection Panel of the World Bank
Gonzalo Castro de la Mata is President of the Inspection Panel of the World Bank. He has served in key positions in the Global Environment Facility, the World Bank, the World Wide Fund for Nature, and Wetlands for the Americas. He also participated as president of an Independent Advisory Panel on the Camisea project for the Export-Import Bank of the United States. Mr. Castro de la Mata holds a PhD in Ecology and Population Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MA and BA from the University Cayetano Heredia in Lima.
