Corinne Valdivia is an agricultural and applied economics associate professor in the College of Agriculture Food and Natural Resources at the University of Missouri. Throughout her career in development she has collaborated with rural communities in Peru, Bolivia and Kenya to understand drivers of change in their livelihoods, communities, and landscapes. Her work on translational research focuses on developing approaches to connect the knowledge of local decision makers with new knowledge generated by social and biophysical scientists in order to inform local decision makers and identify pathways for action. Ms. Valdivia has published extensively with collaborators on adaptation to climate change, capitals and landscapes, women as change agents in the Andes, linking knowledge systems for action.
