Property Rights Specialist, Land & Resource Rights initiative, WRI Governance Center
Caleb Stevens is Property Rights Specialist for the Land & Resource Rights initiative in the Governance Center of the World Resources Institute. He is the principle author of the report Securing Rights, Combating Climate Change, and works on the links between community land rights and climate change mitigation, property rights and sustainable cities, and engaging with governments and the private sector on international standards in the land sector. Mr. Stevens also assists with an online platform mapping community land rights. He previously worked as a legal adviser to the Liberian Land Commission on all aspects of land law and policy reform. In that position he helped draft Liberia’s first national land policy. He has also practiced law in the areas of general commercial litigation and arbitration.
