Photographer’s comment: “Photo taken in Yungay Province (”warm valley” in Quechua), in the Ancash Region of Peru. The area is characterized by its contrasting landscapes, although located in a highly seismic zone. In this scenario, one of the biggest challenges is to ensure the sustainability of the management and use of water and land, specially because of the main economic activities is supported by the agriculture.”
