Fé y conservación para agua fresca y sustento–Mysore, Karnataka, India
Photographer’s comment: “The photo shows how people in the rural India conserve natural resources through faith. In this picture we can see the water body from where a girl is collecting water for drinking, while the livestock are drinking water. The water source is the forest on top of the water body which has been conserved by the community through faith. In order to do so they have constructed a Shiva temple which is a symbol of water. The water released from the forest is collected in the pond and is supporting the livelihoods of the community.”
